Organ Donation Awareness Program at Beep Experience Management Pvt Ltd

  Beep Experience Management Pvt Ltd an event organizing company invited MOHAN Foundation for an awareness program on Organ Donation. The session was conducted on 28^th May 2018 at 10 30 AM at their Chennai Head Office in Kilpauk, Chennai.  Mr. T. S. Siva Shankar, Helpline Executive conducted the session.

  Mr. Siva Shankar started the session by giving green ribbons and playing an information video on what organ donation is all about. This was followed by an explanation on the concepts of Organ Donation by giving the information on the following:

  1. Organs and its functions
  2. Natural death, Brain Death and Coma
  3. Who and when a person can donate organs
  4. No. of people waiting in the waitlist
  5. Government Authority for Organ Donation in Tamil Nadu
  6. Donor Card and Helpline Number

  The session was attended by 20 members and 15 members picked a donor card to support Organ Donation. The questions that were asked by the participants are as follows:

  1. Will the recipient know who the donor is?
  2. Whom should we call when a death happens in home?
  3. Will the organs go to the correct person after donation?
