One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Program, Bengaluru

Updated on Tuesday, August 25, 2015
  • MOHAN Foundation in association with Manipal Hospitals, Bengaluru organizes the one week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Program that will be held between 31st August and 4th September 2015.

The success of organ donation and transplantation depends upon good counselling and coordination by transplant coordinators. The Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Act, 2011, has made the appointment of Transplant Coordinator mandatory before a hospital is registered as a transplant centre. This means there is a huge requirement of transplant coordinators in close to 400 transplant centres in the country.

In order to meet the growing demand for Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation has embarked upon training programs to suit the needs of these health care professionals. We have conducted several training programs in the country and trained over 930 transplant coordinators over the past five years.

Sessions will be conducted by eminent speakers and experienced professionals including experience sharing by transplant coordinators who have made it happen!

We invite applications from doctors, nurses, social workers, patient coordinators, dialysis technicians, PR managers, hospital administrators, psychologists, sociologists and public health professionals to avail this unique opportunity.

Venue: Manipal Hospitals, 98, Old Airport Rd, Kodihalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560017

Registration Fee: INR 5000 – to be paid by Cash or Cheque/DD in favour of “MOHAN Foundation” payable at Chennai. The fee includes delegate kit and training manual.

This training program is a non-residential training program. Outstation participants will have to make their own accommodation arrangements.
