MOHAN Foundation supports REAL Trust NGO to create awareness on Organ Donation

• On 11^th August 2016 REAL Trust organized an event on Organ Donation and the programme was held near N4 Police Station, Poondi Thangammal Street, Ennore. As part of their Heath & Hygiene event Mr. Lawrence Executive Director invited Govt. Stanley Hospital to talk on Organ Donation during the programme. Mr. Prakash K. Transplant Coordinator MOHAN Foundation gave a brief presentation importance of organ donation.

  The following topics were discussed during the presentation;

  • Types of Organ Donation - Live and Deceased Donation
  • Difference between Brain death and Coma
  • Importance of the consent from the family
  • Eye Donation
  • Importance of Donor card 
  • Tissues and organs  that can be donated

  Totally 60 women participated in the programme and at the end of the event, information brochures were distributed to all. Most of them picked a  donor card to show their support.
