MOHAN Foundation was one of the finalists in the non-profit category of Mobile for Good Awards, 2015 hosted by Vodafone Foundation.

A power packed award function, Mobile for Good Awards, 2015 hosted by Vodafone Foundation was organized at Eros Hotel, New Delhi on 4th December 2015. Through these awards Vodafone Foundation aims to recognize and acknowledge the efforts of NGOs who are making an impactful change in the life of many through the use of mobile phone. Mobile phone with Internet is one technology that opens the world of knowledge to a person in any back end of the world. Sunil Sood, Managing Director and CEO of Vodafone said that more and more transparency in every sphere is the key to inclusiveness, for the unprivileged and the underprivileged ones. He pointed how mobile phones can address critical social problems in India. It is a device in the pocket that is a like a window to the world to many, thus opening up teem amount of opportunities for those who are unaware of information that could just make their life a little easier. The main focus of the awards was to encourage organizations to use technology such as a mobile app to solve social problems.

After a rigorous process of screening where 100s of NGOs had applied, MOHAN Foundation was selected as one of the finalist. Dr. Sunil Shroff and Dr.KotiReddy represented the Foundation. As a finalist we also got an opportunity to put a stall. We got quite a good amount of people coming to the stall wanting to get a better understanding about the cause and to coordinate with us to conduct awareness sessions.  Ms. Sonam Choedon and Ms. Mareena Thomas were very enthusiastically answering all the queries anyone had with regard to organ donation. One of the people who visited the stall even congratulated us for the noble cause that MOHAN Foundation is working for. Dr.Shroff, Dr.Koti, Sonam and Mareena were a team who were adding on to each other's information regarding the donor card app and donor optimization app that MOHAN Foundation has launched. The door card app of MOHAN Foundation allows anyone to have an e-donor card and the donor optimisation app allows the medical fraternity with crucial information such as how to maintain a potential organ donor patient, what drugs can be prescribed and so forth.

21 donor cards were picked up. Such platforms allow MOHAN Foundation to make people aware of the cause that it is working on, a cause with a futuristic vision to save people's life. It also allows providing more and more awareness where we get to build future relations and exposure to various ways to convince and involve more and more people in this cause.
