MOHAN Foundation participates in 15th Delhi Critical Care Symposium & 3rd North Zone Critical Care Conference at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel

  • MOHAN Foundation was invited to participate in the 15th Delhi Critical Care Symposium & 3rd North Zone Critical Care Conference held on September 16-17, 2017 at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel. The conference was organized by Society of Critical Care Medicine, Delhi, a Delhi NCR branch of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine. The theme of the conference was Critical Care Medicine: The Synapse for all Disciplines.

     

    The Foundations representatives put up a stall on "know more about organ donation". Many of the participants mostly doctors and fellows visited the stall and information regarding process of organ donation and how to pledge one's organs was shared with them.

     

    On the second day of the conference a session on Brain Death & Organ Donation was conducted by MOHAN Foundation. The highlights of the session were:

    • A film on approaching donor families - a team approach (between critical care specialists and transplant coordinators) to working with potential donor families for organ donation was shown to the participants. Ms. Pallavi Kumar (Executive Director, MOHAN Foundation, Delhi-NCR) took the inputs of the film from the participants and moderated the discussion.
    • Dr. Tariq Ali (Director, Critical Care, Medanta the Medicity) took the session on Role of Ancillary tests in Brain Death Certification
    • Key issues in the management of a brain dead patient was conducted by Dr. Abhinav Gupta

     

    The chairpersons for the session were Dr. Nitin Jain & Dr. Muneet Kaur Sahi.
