MOHAN Foundation delivers an awareness talk at a bank in Edappadi, Salem

  On September 22, 2018, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Pechiyappan (CSR) of Suryoday Small Finance Bank at Edappadi, Salem to deliver an awareness talk on organ donation. The audience comprised 62 members of a Joint Liability Group belonging to different centers of the bank.

  After introducing himself, Mr. S Dileep Kumar from MOHAN Foundation began the session by asking the audience their thoughts on organ donation. He then spoke on the following topics:

  • Women’s health problems
  • Heart disease and its causes
  • Causes for kidney damage and controlling kidney stone occurrence
  • Problems related to heart
  • Dietary habits
  • Transplantation of Human Organs Act
  • Saving lives through organ donation
  • Registration process in case of organ requirement
  • Types of organ donation and criteria to be a donor
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • Age as a constraint in organ donation 

  After a brief Q&A session Mr. Pechiyappan thanked Mr. Dileep Kumar for conducting the session at Suryoday Small Finance Bank.
