  On 27^th January, 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Rakesh Kumar NSS Program Officer & Ms. Seema, Vice Principal of Govt. Model Senior Secondary. School Dhanas, Chandigarh to conduct awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school. Approximately 55 students from class 12^th attended the session.

   

  Students were given an introduction & presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Deepika Arora. The talk focused on concepts of organ donation and transplantation.

   

  Explained the following points:-

  • Necessity and importance of organ donation
  • Types of donors
  • In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
  • In case of brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
  • Myths on organ donation
  • Importance of donor card

   

  All the students were highly motivated and said they will come forth to make it a success in their areas.
