MOHAN Foundation conducts awareness talk on organ donation at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-40, Chandigarh

  On 21^st December 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Vanita, NSS Program Officer of Government Model Senior Secondary School Sector-40, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school. Approximately 60 students from class 11^th attended the session.

   

  Students were given an introduction & presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Deepika Arora. The talk focused on concepts of organ donation and transplantation.

   

  Explained the following points:-

  • Necessity and importance of organ donation
  • Types of Donors
  • In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
  • In case of Brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
  • Myths on organ donation
  • Importance of Donor card

   

  It was indeed an amazing session all the students were highly motivated and said they will come forth to make it success in their areas.
