MOHAN Foundation conducts Awareness Talk on Organ Donation at GMSSS-37, Chandigarh

  • On 17th April, 2015 MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh conducted Awareness Program for the students of GMSSS-37(1), Chandigarh under the “Student Awareness Campaign” which started on to cover all the government schools of Chandigarh. The session which was conducted in GMSSS -37 covered the students of 12th standards from Humanities section. The Principal of school was very supportive of the cause and invited MOHAN Foundation on their Blood Donation camp that will be there on 23rd, April, 2015.

     

    Around 150 students participated from different sections of 12th from school and were given presentation on the phenomenon of Brain Death and the process of organ donation through a presentation and videos by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. The myths and misconception associated with organ donation were also discussed and got cleared. The donor cards were shown to them. They asked very relevant questions regarding Organ Donation. After presentation students were keen to know the process of organ retrieval and transplantation.

     

    Students who were 18 took the donor cards also around 10 donor cards were taken by the students.
