MOHAN Foundation Mumbai awarded by Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai for its exemplary work

  On 24^th November 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited to a CME organized by Jaslok Hospital in connection with organ donation.

  The theme of the CME was Organ Donation- A Gift that Lives On. The CME involved the following talk and panel discussions –

  1. "Ethical issues in Organ Donation & Transplantation" by Dr Sanjay Nagral- Director Surgical Gastroenterology; Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre
  2. Panel Discussion: "Organ Donation & Transplantation-A decade ago and in the future" which included panelists - Dr B V Gandhi- Mentor & Advisor - Department of Nephrology; Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Dr S.M.Katrak- Director Department of Neurology, Dr Shailesh Raina. Director Department of-Urology; Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Dr A.S Soin: Consultant Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgery, Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre; Chairman Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine, Medanta-The Medicity, Dr Suganthi Iyer: Asst Director-Legal & Medica l Services, Hinduja Hospital, Dr S Narayani Zonal Director Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai
  3. " Insights into Organ Donation in the Mumbai Scenario" presented by Dr S. K. Mathur-VP & General Secretary ZTCC; Consultant HPB & Liver Transplant Surgery
  4. Patient Testimonial by a liver donor and a kidney recipient
  5. Felicitation of NGOs wherein MOHAN Foundation was awarded for its exemplary work in the field of organ donation along with a few other NGOs in the field.

   

  The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Tarang Gianchandani CEO, Dir. Medical Services Coordination, Jaslok Hospitals Mumbai.
