MOHAN Foundation was invited by Sri. Vardhan garu and Sri. Subba Raju garu of Puvvada Foundation to conduct organ donation awareness at their first anniversary celebrations meeting on August 09, 2015.
Puvvada Foundation was founded to support educational initiatives and aid merit students. On this occasion, Puvvada Foundation provided scholarships to more than 150 merit students and also is working on skill development programs to the needy students. Mr. Subba Raju, Founder of Puvvada Foundation, distributed the scholarships to the deserving students.
Dr. Koti Reddy explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation. There were more than 500 students that attended the session and were distributed donor cards and information brochures.
We thank Sri. Subba Raju garu and Sri. Vardhan garu for their kind support in organizing this awareness session and also thank all the students for their support to this noble cause.
