On 26th February 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Sri. Ashok and Sri. Sathyanarayana to arrange an Organ Donation Awareness session for the students of Sri Sarathi Engineering College in Nuziveedu, Andhra Pradesh during the blood donation camp organized by Vijayasri Blood Bank in the campus.
There were about 100 students that participated in the event throughout the day and pledged to donate organs. Students from other engineering colleges also participated in this event. Ms. Shanti of MOHAN Foundation distributed organ donor cards, information brochures, and family donor cards to the students and explained the importance of organ donation, legal and technical issues involved, cultural barriers and myths about organ donation.
We thank the management and students of Sri Sarathi Engineering College, for giving us this unique opportunity to spread awareness among youth on organ donation for helping us in making this event a grand success.
