MFJCF Awareness Drive through the Movie “Traffic”

  • MFJCF, a unit of JCF which has been working for the cause of organ donation in Rajasthan for close to three years did a charitable screening of the movie 'Traffic' on 8th May to spread awareness in the bureaucracy, the medical fraternity, the  police cadre, the armed forces and who is who of Jaipur. It was also a gesture to thank the people of Jaipur and all the officers, the bureaucracy, the medical fraternity, the police cadre, the armed forces, the media who support and promote the cause of organ donation in Rajasthan. As we all are aware the movie ‘Traffic’ is inspired by a real-life incident that occurred in Chennai in June 2008, the film stages a dramatic race against the clock undertaken by doctors and traffic policemen to save the life of a child. This movie has been appreciated by many as merging both the Bollywood thriller drama along with a humanitarian cause that is the cause of ‘Cadaver Organ Donation’. Actor Manoj Bajpayee, said in his statement “Some very good films have released this year, which were based on true stories. 'Traffic' is also one such story”.The charming actors, Salman Khan,Shah Rukh Khan and Rishi Kapoor too showed their support for the film.

    MFJCF team spread out in Jaipur across the bureaucracy, the medical fraternity, the police cadre, the armed forces, the ministers, the media  to invite them and seek their blessings for this global cause.

    Mr Arun Chaturvedi (Honourable Minister) congratulated team MFJCF and gave his blessings for the cause. Mr Rajendra Singh Rathore (Honourable Health Minister) said that this was a new idea by team MFJCF to promote the cause of organ donation and he appreciated their continuous efforts in this direction.

    Mr. Manoj Bhatt (DGP, Rajasthan Police) said that the Police will always support the cause of Organ Donation as they have already done. Mr Haider Ali Zaidi(DGP traffic) said that the movie was very closely related to the police and they are always there to support the people of Rajasthan wherever they need it.

    Dr. U.S. Agrawal (Principal, SMS Medical College) said that this is a commendable effort and through a Bollywood movie we can all connect to each other and take the cause of Organ Donation forward.

    Mr. Nirmal Nahata (Mayor Nagar Nigam) said that he is always supportive of the cause of Organ Donation and will continue to do so. Nagar Nigam and he is always there for the continuous support of taking the cause of Organ Donation forward.

    MFJCF team spread out twelve hundred people by talking about this movie and the hall was filled to capacity and all the people appreciated and said the same thing - that of taking the global cause of Organ Donation forward.
