Knowledge transferred via activities make an impact with Cuddalore Nursing Students

  • On 22nd January 2016 MOHAN Foundation conducted competitions for the nursing students from Nursing School attached to Cuddalore Government Hospital. Two weeks earlier transplant coordinators has conducted a 3 hour awareness session on organ donation. The aim of this  programme is to understand the post training retention level of the students on the concept of organ donation and brain death.

    Ms. Sunitha A. T.  Transplant Coordinator started the day with the recap followed by Ms.Rajalakashmi Project Manager NNOS given the instruction to the students for the competitions. The following events are conducted:

    • Poem Writing
    • Slogan Writing
    • Poster making
    • Green Ribbon Making
    • Balloon Game
    • Debate
    • Role Play

    The students actively participated in all the competition. The highlight of the day was the poster presented by the students on the concept of “Donate Organ….. Save Life….”  Totally 53 students participated in the competitions.  Dr. Hemal Kanvinde Quality Assurance Manager, Ms.Jeevitha volunteer MOHAN Foundation and Ms. Sankari Project Manager NNOS were the judges for the event.

    The prizes were distributed to the winners and a participation certificate and a pen was given to all the participants.

    Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Prakash Transplant Coordinator. Students want a follow up awareness programme  cum camp in their college at Cuddalore for the entire batch. MOHAN Foundation Chennai team accepted their request. We thank TRANSTAN  for their support and encouragement in conducting the program.
