Information Stall on Organ Donation at Kota, Rajasthan

  • On 11th March 2018, MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum-Navjeevan (MFJCF) ​Team members set an information desk on organ donation at Swasthy Mela, Allen Satyarth premises, Jawahar Nagar, Kota, Rajasthan. It was an one day program which started on 10 A.M. and ended at 8 P.M.

     

    Mr. P.C. Jain and Mr. Pavan Kumar Dubey represented the MFJCF-Navjeevan Team. Dr. Vikas Khandelia, Nephrologists and Member Kota Kidney Foundation invited MFJCF- Navjeevan members to speak to visitors about the deceased organ donation brain death and dispel any myths. ​

    We set an information desk in the event but in inaugural session they also invited us give presentation to available audience, approx 500 guest were benefited through this talk.

    Mr. P.C Jain gave a presentation with the help of videos and this was highly appreciated by the audience. 

     

    Some questions were asked during the presentation and visit at information desk and answered by the MFJCF- Navjeevan members.

    1.     How can we start cadaver organ donation program in Kota?

    2.     What is the procedure to declare brain death of a patient?

    3.     What is the difference between cardiac death ​ and brain death?

     

    100 visitors registered as donors and picked a donor card during their visit and posed with organ donation message board “I SUPPORT ORGAN DONATION”.
