Independence Day celebrations at Comtel Business Solution, Teynampet with an awareness on Organ Donation

  • India’s 70th Independence Day was celebrated at Comptel Business Solution at Teynampet with Organ Donation awareness and registration process. The program began with formal welcome and introduction about MOHAN Foundation, Mr. David, Manager –Admin welcomed and introduced our staff to Mr. D. K Kanniraj, Business Head and to Mr. P. D. Sriram, Secretary –Rotary Club of Madras DownTown.    

     

    On 15 August 2017, an information desk was put up in order to facilitate and educate visitors on concepts of organ donation. Apart from information desk, Mr. Jayaprakash Daniel, Transplant coordinator, MOHAN Foundation did a PowerPoint presentation on Organ Donation concepts such as why, what, when, how, causes, myths etc. This presentation helped the visitors to know more regarding organ donation. To make concepts friendly, an educational game  based on Tamil movies was conducted in which nearly 15 people took part as team and played well.

     

    Nearly 30 people visited the stall and 25 voluntarily pledged for organ donation, information brochures and help-line stickers were distributed to the visitors. Overwhelming support towards organ donation was seen and request for further more programs in future was received.  

     

    Aswini Eye Clinic of Amrit Hospital and Blood Bank of Rotary Club of Madras DownTown were part of this program and  set up free eye  check up  camp and blood donation camps respectively.     

     

    MOHAN Foundation thanks Mr. Kanniraj  and Mr. David for inviting our team for an awareness talk and registration process and supporting this altruistic service to the society.
