Deceased Organ Donation Awareness Stall at TCS, Tidel Park campus

  TCS employees pledged for donor card

  Tata Consultancy Service organized a Health camp on World Health Day at Tidel Park Campus.  They invited MOHAN Foundation to set up an information stall on Organ Donation at the event on 7^th April 2014.  This was initiated by Ms. Preethi Ramachandran of TCS. Mr. Jeyabal M, Transplant coordinator set up the stall with donor card, banners, information brochures in Tamil and Engllish and standees. He explained the following topics to the employees:

   

  • Types of donors
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • Difference between brain death and coma
  • Organs that can be donated
  • Time of preservation of organs
  • Relevance of donor card
  • Toll free number

   

  More than 150 employees were excited to visit the stall and 72 of them pledged for donor card.

   

  They also raised few queries like:

   

  1. If something happens to me in future, do I have to inform MOHAN Foundation?
  2. Activities of MOHAN Foundation?   

   

  The queries were answered by the Transplant coordinator.
