Celebrating 6th Indian Organ Donation Day at Government ITI, Chackkai, Trivandrum

  • To celebrate the 6th Indian Organ Donation Day,  Ms. Kavitha. S, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation approached Government ITI, Chackkai, Trivandrum to address their students on 27th November 2015.

    A donor card signing programme was organized on 27th November 2015. The event was organized by MOHAN Foundation in association with Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS). Ms. Kavitha. S was deputed from KNOS to address the gathering. This event was organized as part of NCC activity.

    The event was headed with Mr. Sam Raj, Principal, Government ITI, Mr. K. S. Dharmaraj, Additional Director, Government ITI, Mr. Samuel, Vice Principal, Government ITI and Mr. Ganesh, State NCC Coordinator, Government ITI. The chief guest for the event was Adv. R. V. Rajesh, Chairman, Kerala State Youth Commission, Govt. of Kerala.

    There were a group of  thousand students and teacher who participated in the programme. The programme started with the welcome speech by Mr. Sam Raj, Principal, Government ITI, Chackkai. Followed by the speech Kuthuvillaku was lighted as a sign of Spreading of Knowledge. Thereafter the Chief Guest spoke  why young mind should be knowledgeable about  the this noble cause. He appreciated the principal for encouraging this kind of event.

    Following by the speech signing of donor was done by the dignitaries. Ms. Kavitha gave a brief note on organ donation. The vote of thanks was rendered by Mr. Ganesh, State NCC Coordinator, Government ITI. The Chief Guest handed over 500 donor registry form and Donor card to the principal, to distribute among the students and teachers.

    The filled forms will be submitted to the KNOS office on 1st December 2015.
