  Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers in his training hall on 17 November 2017. This was for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.

  Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained for following points:

  v  Organ Donation & Types of donations

  v  Who can donate organs

  v  Brain Death Natural Death and Coma

  v  Myths related to Organ donation

  v  Deceased donation case in Nagpur

  v  Kidney transplant hospital in Nagpur and the Law

  v  Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and Website

  It was a very interactive session. 70 drivers were present at the talk. 4 drivers signed consent form and took donor cards.

  The drivers asked the following questions:

  • Are there any benefits for donor family?
  • How many people have donated organs?
