Awareness about Organ Donation at Mohadi Village, Nagpur

  • On 24 January 2014, MOHAN Foundation spoke about Organ donation to people of Mohadi village, Nagpur.  Dr. Anant Barde arranged the event.  MOHAN Foundation set up an information stall. In the stall brochures, donor card, stand & banner were displayed.

     

    Miss. Kanchan Shewde & Mr. Bulu Behera, transplant co-ordinators of MOHAN Foundation managed the stall for whole day. They gave information as given below:

    • What is organ donation?
    • Types of organ donation?
    • Who can donate organs?
    • In brain death case which organs can be donate?
    • In natural death which tissues can be donate?
    • As a live person which organ can be donate?
    • What is difference between coma & brain death?
    • Activities of MOHAN Foundation

     

    There were 42 visitors who visited the stall.  After understanding about organ donation, they wanted to discuss with their family, come to office & sign the pledge form.

    Questions raised by the visitors.

    1. Is there any financial help from MOHAN foundation for transplant?
    2. If anyone is blind by birth then they get the vision?
    3. Where is MOHAN Foundation office?
