Awareness Talk on Organ Donation at Transport Office

  • On 29th December 2017, MOHAN Foundation took an initiative to create awareness among vehicle owners and drivers at transport office Anna Nagar, Chennai. Mr. S. Sridhathan – Regional Transport Officer, helped in all the arrangements for the programme.

                    The programme started at 11.00 am with the distribution of pamphlets regarding organ donation and followed by an Awareness talk by Ms. Persis Flory – Transplant Coordinator. She explained about the concepts of organ donation and the reason for RTA. People were curious to know what are the organs can be donated when they are alive and about the donor card registry. 

    All the questions were answered by Ms. Persis Flory and finally the programme concluded at 12.00 pm. Around 25 People participated in the programme, out of them 4 pledged them as organ donors.
