  • On June 1, 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ericsson India Global Services to give a talk on organ donation. The talk was held in the training room, 10th floor in Ericsson India Global Service office located at Gwal Pahari on Gurgaon-Faridabad Road.

Mr. Mohit Aggarwal (Senior Specialist, Network Engineering) took the initiative to organise the session with support from his senior Mr. Anil Rana (General Manager, Customer Support) as part of CSR activity. He ensured maximum attendance from his colleagues because he passionately believes in and supports the cause of organ donation.

The session was taken by Dr. Muneet Sahi who started off by screening a short film on brain death and opened the floor to questions after the screening. It was more of an interactive session wherein the participants raised many queries that were answered by Dr. Sahi in a simple and easily comprehensible manner. She also briefly spoke about the THO Act and suggested one can start off at an individual level by pledging their eyes and advocating the same within the family.

A participant whose mother had been on the deceased organ (liver) waiting list for 3 years shared his experience of the long wait for the organ since living donation was not possible in his mothers case and how they always had their bags packed waiting for that one call that would inform them that a donor was available. Finally his mother got the liver and she is alive and healthy. He strongly suggested to the group to become organ donors.

32 participants attended the intense brain storming session and 42 donor cards were picked up.
