Angels of Change - First Session of the Batch 2

  • MOHAN Foundation started its second batch of ‘Angels of Change – Volunteers for organ donation’ on November 30, 2105.

     

    In this unique program, student volunteers from schools and colleges are taken through a customised training module to enable them to undertake awareness initiatives on organ donation amongst various audiences. The objective of this program is to engage the student volunteers-duly sensitised and trained as agents of change and be effective in changing the mindset of people towards a complex issue like organ donation.

     

    The batch consists of 7 students from first year of Institute of Management Studies, Noida. The batch was encouraged to undergo the training by Aman Tandon who was trained under the first batch of Angels of Change. The following are the new volunteers:

    • Ipshita Chakraborty
    • Priya Bharti
    • Aruneek Khera
    • Aniket Anand
    • Nikhil Kumar Varun
    • Naman Agarwal

     

    The first session was an introduction to the basics of organ donation – current scenario in the country, statistics, types of organ donation, brain death, myths and misconceptions, legal aspects and some donor stories.

     

    An intense discussion followed the presentation and various queries were addressed.
